Made it home despite last minute box adjustments so that it would fit on the plane. I could have cut the box down earlier but thought I’d give it a whirl since the bike was basically 5 minutes away from rideable in the box.
I had to dismantle it in the end very quickly (radio calls along the lines of “un carton enorme” and shrink the box with my trusty penknife, so I waved the white flag and rather than ride home Tamsin collected me from Stansted.
it turns out there is a standard size for airport large luggage conveyors and it’s 1m. My box was about 1.2m.
